I'm not on social media. I tried Instagram for a year, but didn't like the insidious way it made me feel addicted to it, nor the anxiety over posting frequently enough to remain "relevant".
So, I had to decide how best to remain connected. 25 years ago, a blog was enough. But these days, nobody is going to routinely check for updates on a personal art website. This problem has already been solved, and the solution is a mailing list. But my mailing list is more than that – it's a Private View. Non-members can't see all of my paintings. And nor can Artificial Intelligence scrapers, as a bonus.
Instead of posting frequent, low-quality posts on social media, I prefer to respect your time and send an email only when a new collection of paintings is finished.
