Rachel Whiteread's installation in the turbine hall, Tate Modern, London.
She's quite clearly mad, as can be seen from the evidence below.

To answer your questions:

1. No. They're glued together.
2. No. The average visitor is too obese for that.
3. No. I didn't see any squirrels.
4. A sort of hollow drumming sound.
5. Yes. You can touch them.
6. Yes. It would be neat if they were illuminated from within, but...
7. No. They're not illuminated from within. It would be neat if they were though.
8. Yes. I did fancy a cup of tea and a lump of sugar afterwards. And
a little time capsule of retro uht milk. Spoon, saucer, serviette... nice.
